Reduces a process model to its cospan-algebra signature — one generator per activity per context, recording which activity hands which typed object to which other activity, and nothing about the place, gateway, operator node or binding set that carried it. Object-centric Petri nets, Petri nets, process trees and BPMN all reduce by the same construction, so two models written in different notations can be compared directly. Equal signatures certify the same structure; an included signature certifies included behaviour.

| 0.1.0latest | 21 Sept 2026 | 35 KB | First release. A model in any of four notations — object-centric Petri net, Petri net, process tree, BPMN — reduces by one construction to its cospan signature: which activity hands which typed object to which other activity, with the place, gateway or operator node that carried it discarded. Compare two signatures and the verdict is a certificate: equal means the same structure and the same traces, contained means every trace of one is a trace of the other, and the report names each generator the larger model adds. Because both sides are signatures the two models need not be in the same notation. Variable arcs carry through as object multiplicity, so two OCPNs differing only in one are not reported as the same model. Implements Lee, Tiňo and Styles, arXiv:2609.20478; gated on a differential against the authors' own proc-posets plus the paper's theorems over randomised models. |
