Which track is yours?
The guide is written three times over, because three very different readers arrive here and the fastest route for one is a detour for another. Pick the track that sounds like you — each one ends by pointing at the shared reference pages, which everybody eventually needs.
New to process miningYou have heard the phrase and want to understand what it actually does. Start from a demo log; no theory homework first.
For process mining expertsYou know discovery, conformance and object-centric event data. Skip the concepts and find out how Promenade is put together — and where it stops.
For process practitionersYou already run process improvement work and know what a process map is. This track is about getting a defensible answer out of your own data.
What every track assumes
Section titled “What every track assumes”Nothing about installation. Promenade opens in a browser tab, and the demo logs are already there — you can follow any track without preparing data first.
When your data gets big
Section titled “When your data gets big”All three tracks run entirely in the browser tab, which is the right place for anything up to roughly twenty to fifty million events. Past that, the analysis does not change — the execution moves. Engines and scaling explains how, and it is worth reading before you conclude that your log is too large for this.
