Citing Promenade

If Promenade was part of your methodology — you discovered models with it, ran conformance checks with it, or built a plugin on top of it — please cite the software, not just this website.

Where to find citation metadata

The repository’s CITATION.cff file is the canonical, machine-readable citation record and is kept current with each tagged release. GitHub renders a “Cite this repository” option directly from it on the repository page.

Citing a specific plugin or algorithm

If you used a specific discovery or conformance plugin, note its name and version alongside the main citation — plugins are versioned independently of the core application. The Inspect panel on any artifact records exactly which plugin and version produced it, under Provenance.

Citing object-centric event data itself

If your citation is really about the OCEL 2 format rather than Promenade, cite the OCEL 2 specification directly.
